This is a terrific expression of Sangiovese that is attached to a very reasonable price tag. The 2014 Romagna Sangiovese Superiore Riserva Torre di Ceparano opens to delicate berry aromas with dried flowers, licorice, balsam herb and smoke. The wine is mid-weight in terms of texture, with bright acidity on the close. Torre di Ceparano was first produced in 1992, and fruit comes comes from alberello, or head-pruned vines. Only neutral oak is used. Some 30,000 bottles were made.
