The 2007 Parrina Riserva impresses for its silky tannins and beautifully delineated ripe red fruit. Soft and seamless through to the finish, the estate’s Riserva captures the open, expansive qualities that are so typical of this vintage. Today the Riserva is mostly about fruit, but more complex tertiary aromas and flavors should develop with further cellaring. Slight elements of heat come through on the finish, but not enough to detract substantially from what is a delicious wine. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017. Importer: A.I.
