As is often the case when yields are small, Lalou Bize-Leroy opted to assemble the lieux-dits Aux Allots, Aux Bas de Combe and Lavières into a single cuvée of 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges. Mingling dark, plummy fruit tones with hints of spices, grilled squab and raw cocoa, it's medium to full-bodied, broad and enveloping, with a lively core of fruit framed by rich, powdery tannins, concluding with a long, sapid finish.
