The 1998 Touraine Gamay is ruby-colored and reveals super-ripe, plummy red and black fruit aromas. It is light-to-medium-bodied, fresh, thirst-quenching, and crammed with loads of juicy cherries. Made in the style of the majority of wines from Beaujolais, it emphasizes fruit over structure. Drink it over the next year.
