Here's a classic interpretation of Sangiovese from one of Gaiole in Chianti's most respected estates. The 2016 Chianti Classico represents a selection of fruit from across Riecine's 30 hectares of vines (ranging from 400 to 600 meters above sea level). The wine is fermented in unlined cement vats and aged in four-year-old tonneaux barrels. The bouquet here is fine and sharp, with balanced tones of wild berry, forest floor and blue flower.
