I have enjoyed the wines of Pierre Gaillard from cask, but I rarely have a chance to taste them from bottle. These two sleek and compact 1990s reveal impressive, saturated, deep ruby/purple colors. The 1990 Cote Rotie-Brune et Blonde reveals more extraction. Yet again the finish is lean and hard, without much ampleness and mid-palate. I wonder if it will improve?
