Carrying 156 gms/l residual, the 2010 Noble Late Harvest Riesling has an attractive honeyed bouquet with touches of marmalade, orange essence and a hint of petrol. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry, very good weight in the mouth with clean pure, vibrant German Beerenauslese finish that handles that sweetness with style.Neurosurgeon Dr. Paul Cluver owns the eponymous 2,500-hectare estate in Elgin, of which 90-hectares are under vine. It is a family affair. Winemaker Andreas Burger (recently elected to the prestigious Cape Winemakers Guild) is married to daughter and financial director, Inge Cluver.
