A superb value in a Tawny Port-like look-alike is the Veritas 10-Year-Old Tawny. A fortified blend of 70% Shiraz and the rest Mourvedre, Grenache, and Muscat, this wine has plenty of amber at the edge of its light ruby color. Exhibiting jammy red fruits intermixed with roasted nuts, caramel, and spice, this thick, full-bodied, moderately sweet Tawny should drink well for another decade.
