A complex nose of spice box, tobacco smoke, cedar wood, red currants and cherries leads to a full-bodied, dense, dark ruby/garnet-colored Brunello with excellent purity and ripeness. There is moderately high tannin, but the wine is nicely balanced by its rich fruit and extract. It will be better with another 1-2 years of cellaring, and should keep for 15+ years.
