The 2014 Soave Classico is a steady, straight-shooting white wine from the volcanic soils in northern Italy. Inama makes some of the best Soave Classico on the market and this easy white (from the very difficult 2014 vintage) is a case in point. The style is a bit thinner this year, but the aromas show layers of citrus, crushed mineral, honey, apricot and wild sage. Despite the vintage difficulties, this is a solid effort that is vinified in stainless steel and packaged in a screw-cap bottle.
