There is a broadness to the nose of the Greves -96, a volume and perfume that is very engaging, the primary fruit giving away to lovely floral aromas: rose petals and dried violets. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of piquancy on the entry. The tannins are firm, a little unyielding with age, although there is plenty of crisp red berry fruit wrapped up in minerals and a touch of soy towards the confident finish. This should age nicely over another fifteen years. Tasted December 2012.
