The 2009 Greco di Tufo Alexandros is an intensely mineral wine that recalls the bright, piecing acidity of Chablis. Crushed rocks, mint, minerals and white peaches linger on the focused finish. This is a new Greco from Colli di Lapio, here in its first release. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2015.
Colli di Lapio is one of Campania’s most promising young properties. The estate is best known for its Fiano di Avellino, a wine that generally needs a few years in bottle to show its best.
