The 2009 Pinot Noir Estate spent 14 months in 30% new oak. Aromas of cigar box, earthy minerals, clove, cinnamon, espresso, and assorted black fruits inform the nose of a racy wine with lively acidity, savory flavors, some elegance, and a lengthy finish. It has the balance to evolve for 1-2 years and will deliver enjoyment through 2019. There are three late-released 2008 offerings from designated estate parcels.Tel. (503) 472-3976; www.cdtvineyard.com
