The 2008 Terroir Selection Malbec comes from a challenging vintage in which the single vineyard and Alto cuvees were declassified into this offering. It was aged in small French oak for 12 months. Aromas of Asian spices, balsam wood, lavender, and assorted black fruits inform the nose of an elegantly styled, incipiently complex Malbec that will benefit from another 1-2 years of cellaring. This nicely proportioned, lengthy effort will be at its best from 2013 to 2020. It is an outstanding value. Alta Vista has a well-deserved reputation as one of Argentina’s finest producers. The current releases include one white wine.Importer: Buena Cepa Wines, Miami, FL; tel. (786) 347-9249
