The 2004 Terroir Selection is a blend of equal proportions of the three single vineyards and 15% of the estate’s younger vines. It would appear that the blending has produced a Malbec of greater complexity although each single vineyard wine has its own distinctive characteristics. Medium to full-bodied, it has gobs of fruit, a vibrant personality, and terrific length. It is a great value in quality Malbec.Alta Vista is owned by the d’Aulan family. The estate is located in Chacras de Coria, just south of Mendoza City and consists of 397 acres. In addition to the single vineyard wines and Alto, they also produce two excellent value wines, a Malbec and a Torrontes.Importer: Banville & Jones Wine Merchants, New York, NY; tel.
