The entry-level 2017 Valpolicella Classico Bonacosta would pair with any easy meat dish or a simple pasta with tomato sauce. This versatile red wine offers wild berry flavors with light shadings of spice and dried rose. The wine sees a simple fermentation, full malolactic fermentation and a brief four months in large oak barrels. The blend is 70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara, and the grapes come from soils with red calcareous sediments and basalt. Some 980,000 bottles were made.
