The 2006 Pinot Noir Oregon is sourced entirely from the Willamette Valley except for one vineyard in the Umpqua Valley. Medium/dark ruby-colored, it offers up notes of spice box, cedar, cherry, and raspberry. This leads to a smooth textured, round, sweetly fruited wine with some elegance and savory flavors. This entry-level Pinot is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Torii Mor Winery was founded in 1993 by Dr. Donald and Margie Olson who continue to actively operate the winery. The black label Torii Mor Pinot is the entry-level wine, clean and fresh with clear varietal character. The fruit flavors are tart and lean, but combined with the bouquet offer elegant details with herb and earthy components.
