A blend of 50% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot (aged in oak for 18 months), the 2015 Ripa delle More is a dark and exuberant wine that boasts first-rate intensity and beautifully bold and enriched berry flavors. The wine offers a deep, mid- to full-bodied approach that is enhanced by generous black fruit, spice, leather and tobacco. The finish is rich, soft and supple. I love this well-priced and delicious vintage of Ripe delle More. Some 12,000 bottles were produced.
