The Woodlands 2011 Chardonnay has subtle notes of meal, cashews and preserved ginger over a fragrant core of pink grapefruit and honeyed white peaches. Medium-bodied with a lovely satiny texture, it fills the mouth with stone fruit and nutty / toasty flavors plus a great acid line to lend freshness and a long finish displaying some complex savory nuances. Deliciously approachable now, it should open-out more in a few months and drink best 2013 to 2017+.
