Honey, dried peach, pear, and brown spices mark the 2006 Josephshofer Riesling Beerenauslese, a wine whose sheer viscosity and richness; smoky, spicy pungency; and desiccated, caramelized fruit palate impression are highly impressive. Illusive nut and mineral elements emerge in the finish, along with more than enough acidity to lend vivacity.
