Sporting a nose reminiscent of a hypothetical blackberry puree covered with violet and rose petals, the 2003 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees (red), from a terroir with huge potential, is a medium-bodied, feminine wine that is packed with fruit. Fresh, satin-textured, and extremely well-balanced, it explodes on the palate, unleashing waves of thick, jammy black fruits whose effects linger in its extensive finish. Projected maturity: now-2013. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
