The estate’s 2007 Pinot Grigio is a pretty, aromatic offering laced with white peaches, flowers and minerals in a style that is very representative of this part of Italy. Drink this clean, steely white over the next year or so.Note that this wine carries the broader Pinot Grigio delle Venezie designation which means the fruit can come from any of the regions in the Tri Veneto (Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli, Veneto). These bottlings rarely, if ever, have the same character as a pure DOC wines, which by definition are made in a much more narrowly-delimited area. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2009.
Tiefenbrunner is a good source for the wines of Alto Adige.
