The two finest wines from Evesham Woods in 1994 are the 1994 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill and its signature cuvee, the 1994 Pinot Noir Cuvee J. Both wines were bottled unfiltered. The Temperance Hill exhibits a sweet, over-ripe nose of black-raspberry and cherry fruit intermingled with scents of roasted herbs and new oak. This meaty, full-bodied wine possesses a marvelous sweetness of fruit (from low yields and ripeness, not sugar), a clean, expansive feel in the mouth, and a long finish.
