The 2008 Nabuko is composed of 50% Monastrell and 50% Syrah aged for three months in French oak. Purple-colored, it reveals a fragrant nose of smoke, underbrush, blueberry, and blackberry jam. On the palate spice notes and black licorice emerge along with layers of savory blue fruit. Well balanced and lengthy, this seamless effort can be enjoyed over the next four years. Senorio de Barahonda was founded in 1925 and is run by the fourth generation of the Candela family. They farm 840 acres in and around the town of Yecla in Murcia.Importer: Patrick Mata, Ole Imports, New Rochelle, NY; www.oleimports.com
