A solidly made, opaque purple-colored wine, this 2011 offers aromas of crushed rocks, black cherries and currants intermixed with hints of licorice and underbrush. It displays medium body as well as an impressive attack, but the wine narrows out slightly in the finish. It should drink well for 5-8 years.

Fresh, floral style, with good currant and cherry fruit and a well-integrated toasted vanilla edge. Not big, but has length. Score range: 88-91 –JM
