The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Vogt Vineyard offers up an attractive melange of blue and black fruit, smoke, tar, chocolate, licorice, pencil shavings and graphite. A big, structured wine, the Vogt showcases the sheer power and intensity of the vintage. Firm tannins frame the huge, crescendo of aromas, flavors and sensations. The Vogt will require considerable patience, but it is a jewel of a wine. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. This lineup from Beringer is full of highlights.
