The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Vogt Vineyard is a deep, tightly coiled wine. Menthol, smoke, pine, licorice and black fruit emerge from the glass in this large-scaled, expressive wine. Graphite and tar add complexity on the finish. I especially like the energy and minerality here. There is tons of Howell Mountain character in the glass. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019. Tel.
