With 12,000 bottles released, the 2015 Sannio Aglianico Riserva Janare Cantari is a full-bodied red that ages in barrique for 24 months. There is plummy black fruit at the core, but the aromas pivot quickly to aged tones of spice and dark licorice. This was an exuberant vintage with plump, ripe fruit, and you feel the extra fruit weight as a result. It's all a bit heavy and thick.
