Tasted blind at Flint Wines’ 2007/2012 Nuits Saint-Georges tasting in London. The 2010 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains has an open and inviting bouquet: crushed rose petals infusing the light red cherry and strawberry fruit. It is delicate but shows exquisite delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, not much depth or body, but demonstrating some pretty, slightly meaty red fruit on the conservative finish. I have encountered superior vintages from the domaine and particularly from this vineyard, but it should give drinking pleasure over the next 12-15 years. Tasted November 2016.
