There are 400 cases of the 1997 Nightingale, a blend of botrytis infected Semillon (70%) and Sauvignon Blanc (30%). It boasts a honeyed pineapple, coconut, assorted tropical fruit-scented nose and flavors. Viscous, with good underlying acidity, the wood is subtle as opposed to aggressive. I cannot imagine this wine will age for 30-50 years like a great French Sauternes, but this delicious offering should keep for a decade.
