The 2000 Altanza Reserva Club comes from 50- to 60-year-old vines aged 24 months in French casks. The additional barrel time appears in its very toasty, vanilla scented perfume. Nevertheless, black cherry and raspberry fruit emerges and cedar and leather components provide additional complexity to the wine’s elegant personality. The finish is very long and pure.
