The 2008 Dolcetto d’Alba Bric del Salto offers good varietal definition in an easygoing mid-weight style, with pretty floral notes that add lift on the finish. Sadly, the richness and density of the finest vintages is missing, but then again, nature can be capricious. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011.
