Alain Corcia has produced an outstanding 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes blanc. Made primarily from Roussanne, and aged in 600-liter demi-muids, this is a honeyed, rich, opulently-textured, somewhat fragile, but flavorful white. Displaying notes of rose water and honeysuckle along with impressive body and glycerin, it should be consumed over the next 1-2 years. Sadly, only 900 bottles were produced.
