I found better freshness and balance in the 2015 Malbec Serenade than in the 2014. 2015 was not an easy year either, but it resulted in slightly lower alcohol and adequate acidity. As the rest of the single-vineyard range, it fermented in small concrete vats and matured in two-thirds new French barriques for one year. This is powerful and ripe but without excess; it has freshness and balance. It's full-bodied and has plenty of fine-grained tannins, and there's concentration but with elegance. Balanced in an XL style. 6,800 bottles were filled in March 2018.
