The 2012 Chateau Sérilhan seems a little over-egged on the nose, especially when compared directly against the Petit Bocq '12. The palate is rounded, very sweet and chewy. This is a Cru Bourgeois eager to impress and yet it lacks the grace and elegance of its peers. This showed well out of barrel, but it seems to have been pushed too far in the winery, when that was unnecessary.
