Grgich Hills exhibits a sure hand with all of its wines, but its 1991 Fume Blanc is one of the best I have tasted from this winery. The fragrant bouquet of herbs, melons, and smoke is followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with excellent richness, adequate acidity, and a chewy, long finish. Drink this powerful Fume Blanc with aggressively scented foods over the next 1-2 years.
