The tasty 2007 Revelation (55% Syrah, 35% Grenache, and 10% Petite Sirah) is a sexy, seductive, dark ruby/purple-tinged wine offering copious wild berry fruit intermixed with forest floor and damp earth notes, silky tannins, and a round, luscious style. Already irresistible, it should continue to drink well for 3-4 years. This is the type of blend that more Central Coast wineries should be producing.
Eli Parker, son of the recently departed Fess Parker, has his own operation called Epiphany. The prevailing style leans heavily toward single vineyard, full-bodied, powerful wines. To his Santa Barbara Syrah portfolio, he has added the Stagecoach Vineyard offering from Napa.
