The 2001 Vacqueyras Seigneur de Lauris is powerful, backward, and deep purple-colored. Beefy and rich, it offers up scents of melted licorice infused with blackberry and cherry fruit. Pure and spicy, but closed, it needs 1-2 years of cellaring. It should drink well for a decade. No known American importer.
