The 2014 Rully comes from the estate's own vines supplemented by contracted vines and is aged in around 25% new barrels. It has a generous tropical-tinged bouquet that is nicely defined, hints of dried pineapple and guava coming through with aeration. The palate is well balanced with lime and orange cordial on the entry. I prefer the acidity here compared to the Bouzeron -- less shrill and piercing, leading to a nicely balanced, lightly spiced finish. This is a very commendable Rully.
