The 100% Tempranillo cuvee called Terreus is aged in new oak. The 1999 Terreus is an opaque purple-colored, internationally-styled effort that demonstrates what can be achieved in this Spanish appellation. It exhibits notes of new oak intermixed with graphite, blackberry and cassis liqueur, huge body, ripe tannin, and a structured, concentrated, unformed personality. While it boasts exceptional purity as well as impeccable persistence, it will require cellaring. Lay it away for 4-5 years, and enjoy it over the next two decades.
