This was the inaugural vintage from Cécile Tremblay, the 2009 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Murgers, produced from young vines, and though it doesn't have the depth and vitality of more recent vintages, it is drinking very well at present. A complex bouquet of wild red-black fruit, smoked duck, espresso roast and black tea precedes a medium-full, supple and texturally generous wine, with melted tannins and good acidity.
