The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge Vieilles Vignes, which is presently in stainless steel vat, has a tight-lipped bouquet at the moment, a nose that clearly does not want to come out and play. The palate is fresh on the entry with bitter red cherry and citrus peel, just a touch of shrillness that will hopefully be tempered by the remainder of time in vat.
