Here's an especially floral and fruity expression of Fiano from an estate that makes clear distinctions among the various monovarietal wines it produces. The Villa Raiano 2020 Fiano di Avellino Ventidue shows apple, stone fruit, lilac, saffron and hints of spicy cumin. It is fermented in steel and sees extended aging on the fine lees. Exactly 3,229 bottles were made and the wine is poised to hit the market in the fall of 2022.
