The 1998 Pinot Noir exhibits a Domaine Dujac-like fragrance and personality. The light to medium ruby color belies the wine's richness and complexity. Notes of kirsch liqueur, cherry jam, cinnamon, black tea, and clean foresty aromas (the French say sous-bois) soar from the glass of this aromatic, complex Pinot Noir. It is silky-textured, with fine underlying acidity, subtle and nuanced flavors, and a long, medium to full-bodied finish. Yields were .9 tons of fruit per acre, and the production was extremely limited. Hopefully, more wine will be forthcoming in future vintages.Sadly, quantities of this wine is extremely limited, but this partnership will be producing more wine.
