This wine, from the underrated, but potentially outstanding Livermore Valley, is remarkably full-flavored. Readers tired of so many insipid and watery California wines will not want to miss out on this terrific bargain. Wine from the Trebbiano grape is rarely found in California, but this is a strong effort. While the nose is subdued in Tamas's 1990 Trebbiano, in the mouth, this wine is bursting with rich fruit, displays gobs of glycerin, and is more flavorful and fuller-bodied than most Italian Trebbianos. It would be an ideal white wine to serve with grilled seafood or poultry. I enjoyed it immensely, as evidenced by the fact that I finished the bottle with my dinner. This is amont the best wines I have yet to taste from this winery founded by Ivan Tamas and Steve Mirassou in 1984.
