Made from an identical blend to the 2000, but far superior, the 2001 Abadal Seleccio demonstrates the more successful vintage’s character. A deep ruby/purple hue is followed by sweet aromas of menthol, black currants, balsam wood, and flowers. Full-bodied, broad, and expansive, with sweet tannin, well-integrated acidity, and a nice touch of new oak, this stylish, elegant beauty will drink well for 7-8 years.
