A blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Shiraz and 4% Merlot, the 2008 Fontaine Cabernet Shiraz Merlot gives a medium-deep garnet-purple color and notes of warm red currants, black raspberries and red cherry with a whiff of dried Provence herbs. Medium to full bodied, there's a good amount of vibrant berry fruit in the mouth with the balanced support of high acidity and a medium level of chewy tannins. The finish is medium-long. Drinking now, it should remain good through 2014. Dominique Portet does not have a USA importer but exports to Dubai, Hong Kong , China, Holland , Canada and Singapore .
