I would be remiss if I did not tell everyone to get their orders in for Jadot's extraordinary Pommard Les Epenots in 1988. This cuvee, of which there were only 225 cases made, will rival the best wines from top-notch domaines such as the Comte Armand, Madame Courcel, and Pothier-Rieusset. It is a massive wine oozing with black cherry fruit. Full bodied, awesomely concentrated, even unctuous and opulent on the palate, this splendid, compelling wine should drink well for at least a decade.
