The 2003 T D’Anguix Reserva spent 15 months in French and American oak. Purple in color, it gives up an aromatic array of smoke, pencil lead, espresso, black cherry, and blackberry. On the palate it is straightforward with a slightly baked character common to the very hot 2003 vintage. Even so, it is a solid wine that can be enjoyed over the next 8 years.
