The 2000 Riesling Grafenreben is reminiscent of the Burgreben but with more power, depth, intensity, and length. This light to medium-bodied wine reveals substantial underlying minerals in its tightly wound character. Projected maturity: 2003-2009. The youthful Jean-Christophe Bott, this winery's winemaker and director, believes 2000 "is not an exceptional vintage, yet is outstanding. The last extraordinary year we had was 1990.
